أثنى على النبي صلى الله علیه وسلم في كتاب
بعنوان
Heroes and Hero Worship and the
Heroic in History
وفد أفرد له بابا تحت عنوان : البطل نبیا
Hero as a Prophet
ماذا قال :
الصدق ھو ما یبدو لي فضیلة القرآن ، والذي
جعله فضیلة ثمینة لرجال البریة العربیة . إنھا
الفضیلة الأولى و الأخیرة لكتاب ، تعطي له
فضائل من كل نوع.
Sincerity, in all senses, seems to
me the merit of the Koran; what
had rendered it precious to the
wild Arab men. It is, after all, the
first and last merit in a book;
gives rise to merits of all kinds
لقد أخترنا محمدا لیس لأنه أبرز الأنبیاء ، ولكن
كواحد نستطیع الكلام عنه بحریة . إنه واحد من
أصدق الأنبیاء على الإطلاق.
We have chosen Mahomet not as
the most eminent Prophet; but as
the one we are freest to speak of.
He is by no means the truest of
Prophets; but I do esteem him a
true one
الأكاذیب التي تجمعت حول الرجل (محمد) ، لیست
سوي عار لنا فقط
لقد سماه أتباعه الصادق الأمین . رجل الصدق
والأمانة في أفعاله وكلامه وأفكاره
The lies (western slander), which well-meaning zeal
has heaped round this man, are
disgraceful to ourselves only His
companions named him "Al
Amin, The Faithful." A man of
truth and fidelity; true in what he
did, in what he spake and
thought
