2. Install our cracked Luxion FlexNet License Server.
There's no installer, simply move the "Luxion_License_Server"
folder where you want. For example at the root of your C:\ drive.
3. In the license server folder:
Run the script "flexnet_system_info.cmd" by double-clicking on it.
It will display your computer hostname and your FlexNet hostid.
Edit the file "luxion.lic" in your favorite text editor and replace
both values <HOSTNAME> and <HOSTID> by the values you received when
you ran the script.
Save the license file.
4. Start the FlexNet license server.
To just validate it work properly with the application
you can simply double click the script:
flexnet_floating_license_server_start.cmd
It will start the license server and display its activity in a
console window. This is usefull to debug the licensing setup
and configuration process.
5. Install KeyShot Studio, during the installation you can choose
to install it for all users or for you only.
If you choose the first option then KeyShot will be installed in
the following dir:
C:\Program Files\KeyShot
Or better using Windows env variables:
%PROGRAMFILES%\KeyShot
If you pick the second option, then it will be installed in:
C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME>\AppData\Local\KeyShot
Or better using Windows env variables:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\KeyShot
6. At the end of the installation, on the last screen, uncheck all
options to avoid running KeyShot right after the installation
process and to not give it access permissions in Windows firewall.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
7. Make sure KeyShot is not running.
Copy the "bin" folder from the "Crack" directory to KeyShot program
folder. Overwrite the existing files.
8. Start KeyShot Studio.
When the registration window appears, select "Activate my license",
validate to go to next step.
On the second screen, select "I have a floating license" and go to
next screen.
In the server address field enter the FlexNet server TCP port (most
likely 27000) @ your computer hostname.
For example:
27000@MYCOMPUTER
You can also use localhost if the license server is installed on
the same machine as KeyShot:
27000@localhost
Click on "Connect". If everything is properly setup and running
it will find the license server and you'll have the choice to
pick a KeyShot license type.
Select "KeyShot Floating Enterprise" then click on "Finish".
KeyShot Studio is now activated with Enterprise license.
9. Now you can complete the FlexNet server configuration by
installing it has a Windows service.
From Luxion License Server folder, start the "lmtools.exe"
utility and configure it like this:
A. In "Config Services", add a "Luxion' service name.
Set "Path to te lmgrd.exe file" to the "lmgrd.exe" file in Luxion
FlexNet Server directory.
i.e: C:\Luxion_License_Server\lmgrd.exe
Set "Path to the license file" to point to the "luxion.lic" file,
again in Luxion License Server dir.
You can, optionnaly, set the "Path to the debug log file" to an empty
file (create it first).
Enable the "Start Server at Power Up" and "Use Services" options.
Click "Save Service"
B. In "Service/License File" choose "Configuration using Services" and
check "LMTOOLS ignore license file path envirnment variables".
C. In "Start/Stop/Reread" click "Start Server" the click on
"ReRead License File".
D. In "Server Status" click "Perform Status Enquiry".
Check that you have "LUXION: UP vx.x.x".
Check the features are activated.
E. In "Server Diags" check all features can be checked out.
F. Check logs in "Config Services" if you configured a log file.
