Uninstall AVG via Windows Control Panel
Follow the instructions for your version of Windows to uninstall AVG


Windows XP, Vista and 7
Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: If the Control Panel option is not available in the Start menu, click Settings first.
Click Programs and Features or Add or Remove Programs.
Select AVG in the list of programs. In case there are more versions of AVG
(e.g. "AVG", "AVG Protection", "AVG 2015", "AVG PC TuneUp", etc.),
you may be required to uninstall all other versions before uninstalling the main AVG application.
Click the Uninstall or Change/Remove button.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the uninstallation.
Restart your computer.

Windows 8
On the Start screen, click the down arrow to view the Apps screen.
Right-click AVG on the Apps screen.
Click Uninstall on the bottom bar.
Select AVG in the list of programs. In case there are more versions of AVG
(e.g. "AVG", "AVG Protection", "AVG 2015", "AVG PC TuneUp", etc.),
you may be required to uninstall all other versions before uninstalling the main AVG application.
Click the Uninstall or Change/Remove button.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the uninstallation.
Restart your computer.

Windows 10
In Search, enter Control Panel and select Control Panel.
Select Programs > Programs and Features.
Select AVG in the list of programs. In case there are more versions of AVG
(e.g. "AVG", "AVG Protection", "AVG 2015", "AVG PC TuneUp", etc.),
you may be required to uninstall all other versions before uninstalling the main AVG application.
Select Uninstall to remove the program.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the uninstallation.
Restart your computer.

In case the uninstallation fails, please use the AVG Remover tool
In case the uninstallation was not successful, use the AVG Remover tool.
Please make sure to save all your work and close all open documents! Your computer will be restarted during the process:
download the AVG Remover tool.
Run the downloaded file and then click Continue to agree with AVG’s license agreement and privacy policy
. AVG Remover will now scan your computer to find all installed AVG products.
From the list of products, select the one you would like to remove.
Your computer will need to be restarted. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
